Incorporated in 2016, AQURIS Ltd is headed by Shashi Ramsoondur, a construction professional having more than 22 years of experience in local and international practice. Shashi holds a BSc in Quantity Surveying from the University of Cape Town as well as an MBA with specialization in Finance and Investment and is a Registered and Chartered Quantity Surveyor. He is also a commonwealth prize awardee.

Aquris Ltd is a professional Chartered and Registered Construction and Property Consultancy Practice which provides a full range of comprehensive and competitive Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Contract Management, Procurement Management and support and alternative dispute resolution solutions to the Construction Industry. We are a firm of construction consultants based in Phoenix in Mauritius and have strong ties and partnershiups with companies in the United Arab Emirates, India and South Africa.
Aquris Ltd is a young and dynamic company that has been in operation for 7 years. We are however proud to have been involved in a wide spectrum of types of construction projects in
Mauritius and Rodrigues, namely in the following sectors: residential, commercial, warehousing, retail, educational, railway, high rise buildings, PDS schemes, hotels, sports, agriculture amongst others experience in all aspects of the construction industry including residential, commercial, health and education. We can also draw from the experience of our staff which includes members with over 20 years of experience in several countries.

In the beginning
My career in Quantity Surveying began fortuitously after I ended up at the Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture at the University of Cape Town during the early months of 1997 following a cascade of events during the previous year.
After sailing through these wonderful 4 years in South Africa, I graduated in Quantity Surveying, came back to Mauritius and engaged in a career in the private quantity surveying consultancy industry, learning the trade through the best in the island, before moving into the public sector.
Bored by the limited environment within the trade and industry in Mauritius, after a further couple of years, I moved to London, UK for more trying projects preceding the London Olympics amongst others. I was however a key member of the hotels and resorts cluster, working on projects from St Kitts and Nevis to Cyprus and London through the Jeddah redevelopment and other projects in the Arabian Gulf countries. Chartered member of the RICS in 2007, I moved up the ranks
at Davis Langdon, now part of AECOM, one of the leading Global Consultancy firms worldwide. With international experience under the belt, I realized however that I wanted to be in Mauritius. Back on the island, I went into Quantity Surveying in the contracting industry, again rapidly reaching glass ceilings. Complementing my consulting and contracting experience with international exposure, I engaged as Contract Manager on a multimillion sugar factory and refinery project in Zambia.
Finally, in 2017, I started practising Quantity Surveying and Project Management under the name of Aquris Ltd,
convinced that I could and would offer a better general understanding, appreciation, contractual administration, management and guidance, service, quality, competitive price to value ratio and commitment than most whilst being perfectly honest and ethical. From that day on, at Aquris, we have been welcoming and advising hundreds of Clients and continue to do so today.
