What does a Project Manager actually do and how can a Project Manager help me on my construction project?
A Project Manager will act as your point of contact with the team of construction consultants – Architect, Engineers, Quantity Surveyors during their appointment, the design and the contractual phases of the project – construction and maintenance periods.
The Project Manager may also act during liaison with other stakeholders such as local authorities, neighbours, suppliers and in relation with direct contracts to be procured.
The Project Manager will ensure that your project is designed and executed as per your requirements whilst ensuring that inputs from each consultant are coordinated.
He will strive to deliver the final product within time and cost, at the same time achieving set standards of finishing.
What does a Quantity Surveyor actually do and how can a Quantity Surveyor help me on my construction project?
Our Quantity Surveyors will accompany you from the start, advising on plot purchase and design. A preliminary estimate will be prepared followed by more detailed cost plans until the Client’s budget is met.
The Quantity Surveyor will prepare a detailed bill of quantities, tender documents and will invite contractors to bid, based on a shortlist. The contract will be awarded to the most deserving contractor.
The Quantity Surveyor will also assess contractors’ monthly and extra claims and recommend amount to the Client for payment until release of all retention.
The Quantity Surveyor will ensure that all contractual documents such as guarantees and bonds are in place throughout the project.
The Quantity Surveyor will help you by identifying, forecasting, controlling, monitoring and reporting project costs, saving you money and reducing your expenses.
I own a plot of land and I need a valuation report. Can Aquris do the needful?
Valuation reports for land and existing buildings should be referred to Registered and Chartered Valuers and are not prepared by our office.
My house or building got damaged and I need a report for insurance purposes. Can Aquris help us?
Yes. At Aquris, we do prepare professional reports and assist in the preparation of insurance claims.
I need an estimate and monthly evaluation reports for my construction project for banking purposes? Can Aquris help me?
Indeed. At Aquris, we do prepare estimates and monthly evaluation reports of work done or call for funds for banking purposes.
My contractor is defaulting by not completing the works, requesting for additional money or I am not satisfied with the quality of the works.
